How to Make Yourself Easier to Find

Although LinkedIn is one of the most important platforms for employment and networking today, many candidates still feel invisible there. Regardless of your experience or knowledge, without the right strategy, your presence on the platform may go unnoticed.

Through working with candidates in our program, we've identified the most common challenges, as well as strategies that truly work.

Challenges Candidates Face

Generic Applications

One of the most common problems is sending generic messages to a large number of recruiters without clear intent or regard for the industry. Mass messages that look copy-pasted are instantly recognized and typically ignored by recruiters. A personalized approach, aimed at a specific company or position, is far more effective.

LinkedIn Profile Optimization

Your LinkedIn profile is your digital resume. If it's not fully completed, it gives an impression of unprofessionalism. Just one glance is enough for a recruiter to decide not to reach out.

Irrelevant Experience

Candidates often apply for positions that aren't aligned with their experience. When experience doesn't match the role's requirements, recruiters quickly move on to the next profile. It's essential to understand the roles you're targeting and honestly evaluate how well your qualifications align with the requirements.

Misunderstanding the Recruiter's Perspective

Recruiters select candidates not only based on skills but also on an assessment of mutual compatibility and the likelihood of demonstrated interest. If you appear uninterested, there's little chance anyone will contact you. After all, recruitment is a two-way process.

LinkedIn Tips for Improvement

Complete Your Profile

Your LinkedIn profile should be clear, complete, and up-to-date. Use a professional photo, highlight your skills, experience, the technologies you use, and your most significant achievements. Regularly update your profile and treat it as a living document that grows with your career.

Use the "Open to Work" Option

This feature signals to recruiters that you are available and open to new business opportunities. While not a guarantee, it significantly increases the likelihood of being contacted, especially if you have relevant experience and a strong profile.

Write an Engaging "About" Section

The "About" section is often neglected, but it actually plays a huge role. Write a brief, concise, and focused description of your professional journey, highlight your specializations, relevant technologies, and the types of projects you're passionate about, and end with a call to action.

Highlight Key Achievements in the "Featured" Section

This part of your profile allows you to showcase projects, presentations, or your portfolio. Choose what best represents your expertise and contribution. Update the content regularly, as outdated links leave a poor impression.

Be Active

Visibility comes through activity. Comment on posts, ask questions, share opinions, and relevant content. This way, you enter the feeds of your connections and recruiters, which is often all it takes to get noticed.

Join Relevant Groups

Membership in industry groups provides additional exposure. Participate in discussions, answer questions, and post useful content to position yourself as someone who understands the industry.

Share Valuable Content

Regularly sharing professional insights, practical experiences, articles, or short video content helps build your personal brand. Add relevant hashtags, keywords, and ask your audience for their opinion; this increases the reach of your posts.

Gather Recommendations and Skill Endorsements

Authentic recommendations from colleagues, mentors, and clients add weight to your profile. Also, regularly seek endorsements for key skills; this strengthens your professional credibility in the eyes of recruiters who quickly scan profiles.

Visibility on LinkedIn doesn’t happen by accident—it’s built intentionally. With a clear strategy, a well-set-up profile, and authentic communication, the chances of attracting recruiter attention significantly increase.

Within our program, candidates receive a detailed analysis of their LinkedIn profile, practical tips for positioning, and support in direct communication with recruiters, because we know how important visibility is for a successful next career step.
